For innovators and growth-hungry businesses within the science and technology sectors, the Didcot Growth Accelerator is a blank canvas.  Somewhere within these 6 locations you’ll find the space you need to grow your business and to partner with other organisations at Science Vale.  Over a five-year period, space in the Didcot Growth Accelerator could cut as much as £275,000 off your business rates.

The 6 locations, which won their enterprise-zone status in spring 2016, will appeal to businesses that can support or help commercialise the ideas and technologies coming out of Science Vale.  They’re suitable for a wide range of companies, from those setting up small-scale production runs to high-value manufacturing businesses, plus downstream suppliers offering services such as prototyping.


D-Tech is a 23-hectare (57-acre) site capable of providing 950,000 sq ft of hi-tech offices, laboratories and manufacturing facilities – and 2,000 new jobs.  The site, which is just to the north of Didcot town centre, is expected to bring £350m of investment to the town.

Didcot Parkway Station is a few minutes away by car and Culham Science Centre is five miles to the north.  One early D-Tech tenant is setting up an 80,000 sq ft facility to encourage collaboration between local hi-tech companies.

Southmead Park

Three sites totalling 3.5 hectares (8 acres).  It includes the Meridian Didcot Business Village a 2.5 hectare (6.5 acre) site which will provide 150,000sq. ft. of space for offices, laboratories and manufacturing, creating 200 jobs.  For businesses wanting to expand, it’s a valuable relocation site with enterprise zone status.

Milton Interchange

For businesses that need excellent connections, this 8-hectare (20-acre) enterprise zone next to the A34 Milton Interchange is unbeatable.  The hugely successful Milton Park is just to the north and central Didcot (with its direct railway connections to London) is three miles to the east.  Development plans incorporate footpaths and cycleways for easy commuting to nearby residential developments.

Signia Park

The site of the former Didcot A power station has been split in two.  The smaller, southern part is for residential development; the larger, 35 hectare (86 acre) northern part is an enterprise zone suitable for mixed-use business and industrial development, including offices, light industry, storage and distribution.

Giant Didcot Distribution Park

This 25 hectare (62 acre) site, adjacent to the Didcot B power station, would suit businesses that need a secure and plentiful source of power.  The site offers warehousing facilities for a range of businesses including those looking for a multi-use site to incorporate offices and laboratories.

A traffic-free footpath and cycleway stretching from Harwell to Culham passes right next to the site.

Milton Park extensions

The Didcot Growth Accelerator includes another six sites at Milton Park.  Each of the six additional plots – known as the Milton Park extensions – also has enterprise zone status.
